MEET KATIE

A psychotherapist of 15 years by trade and a long-time owner of wellness clinics with her husband, Dr. Rob Truax, Katie Truax started doing beach setups quite by accident in the fall of 2020.

Battling an auto-immune condition took away favorite active hobbies such as paddle-boarding and yoga, so she was looking for something more to fill her time than Netflix and chill when she had the opportunity to set up something beautiful for a friend’s birthday on the beach!

That night and the days that followed, so many people asked if this was a business, and so Salty Girls Beach Setups and Event Planning began!

Before becoming a therapist, Katie went to school for interior design and spent years and years in hospitality, both restaurants and the wedding industry. She loves tapping into those skills, passions and experiences to create something cool on 30A’s beaches.

Through creating amazing beach experiences for Salty Girls clients, Katie saw the need for a beach and pool-friendly wine bottle that both tasted amazing and featured packaging safe to take in both sand and poolside.

It is here that Salty Beverages began.
